FAQ's

-
What happens to the critters after you remove them?In the most common conflicts, critters go on about their business elsewhere, of their own accord and with free will. In California, taking and releasing wildlife elsewhere is against the law.
-
Do you exterminate wildlife?Though euthanasia can play a role in this industry, it is most certainly not taken lightly. It’s about education, insight, and awareness of critter behavior. Then, we remove and address the things on your property that, in most cases, unintentionally attract critters. The animal then decides on its own to stop frequenting your property. It makes much more sense to persuade critters to decide on their own that your property no longer caters to their needs.
-
Can I just get rid of critters myself?Laws about handling, treating, and managing wildlife exist for specific reasons. Sometimes, the reasons are not clear to home or property owners. As a professional, Critter Getter stays up-to-date and familiar with these laws. Whether you’re a professional or a resident, operating outside these parameters can not only be counterproductive to their intended purposes but can also be costly—incurring unfortunate fines, penalties, or, believe it or not, possible incarceration or jail time. Laws vary drastically from state to state. A firm understanding of local laws is crucial before taking action. Regional laws, statutes, and regulations are our guidelines and establish our operation restrictions. A clear and established “pipeline” must be put into place first to handle and manage any desired or undesirable outcome from any trapping effort.
-
What do critters typically want on my property?Food. A reliable food source is by far the number one lure for critters. For example, wildlife finds your property attractive if you’re in the habit of leaving pet food outdoors. Shelter. A warm, comfortable, and accommodating source of shelter welcomes critters to move in and make themselves at home. Water.

How do you know there are no critter babies left under my home after your eviction process?Critter Getter uses highly reliable techniques, including one-way doors and cameras, to monitor all critters’ activity throughout the project. My experienced and highly attentive “radar” alerts me to the elements that determine if there are newborns still inside a structure, without even having to see them myself.
-
I’m pretty sure the critters have left my home. Can’t you just crawl inside and look around to see if there are still any critters inside?Never rely solely on a visual inspection to determine if all critters are gone. There are far too many hiding places where they can avoid being seen. My proven, reliable techniques ensure that if there are critters inside your home, they will tip off their presence to me one way or another, and I’ll know it—even if the space they hide in is impossible for a human to crawl into, like the hollows of your bathtub (a common hiding spot that would elude a visual inspection)!
